Decorations is not necessary for Thanksgiving and I don’t think anyone expects them. I wouldn’t say make less because of just in case. But expect to have plenty of leftovers that will be eaten all week long. Then you won’t waste anything.

Awesome tips, we were going to make the pies this year and I was buying a few of the ingredients when I saw pies were on sale for $3. The ingredients for that specific pie were already more than that, so we opted to buy it and bake the other pie which we already had ingredients for. Mix and match I guess, so you really should see what’s available at your grocer, compare prices and buy whats cheaper.

OK, now THAT is hilarious to me.

I’m the youngest of 8 kids. Whenever we get together for a holiday event, there is a bare minumum of 30 people … sometimes closer to 40. Nope, that’s not an exaggeration – it’s actually the typically group size. And that’s just Mom, siblings/spouses, nieces/nephews, and spouses/children of nieces/nephews. And, of course, there’s enough food for 60 …

One of these days, they’ll have wine in little milk cartons.
