A few people warned me that temporary assignments often times turn into a long-term temporary assignment with more responsibilities and no pay raise. However, as luck would have it, I am back to my normal job two weeks later, just as they told me.

I had a great experience, learned a lot, improved a lot, and hope this helps me out when they start making promotion decisions. My professional policy is to always volunteer for assignments that are in the spotlight and to make sure I do an outstanding job. I think that is what I did here, or so I hope! :)
