Paying Too Much for Credit? 7 Ways to Avoid Credit Card Costs

This is a guest post from LaToya Irby.

Just a couple of weeks ago, the President signed a set of credit card rules that will protect credit card users from many predatory tactics used by card issuers. For example, credit card issuers won’t be allowed to hike your rates on a short notice.

Though the rules aim to lower credit card costs, quite the opposite might happen. Many analysts expect credit card issuers will raise credit card costs to continue making profits. Weekly Mashup – Back to the Normal Life

A few people warned me that temporary assignments often times turn into a long-term temporary assignment with more responsibilities and no pay raise. However, as luck would have it, I am back to my normal job two weeks later, just as they told me.

I had a great experience, learned a lot, improved a lot, and hope this helps me out when they start making promotion decisions. A lot of bloggers have recently written about starting businesses, too. Green Panda Treehouse went halfway and discussed starting a side business while looking for a job. This article gives good advice and lists a few good resources for anyone considering freelancing. Man Vs Debt had a guest post on how to launch a business from home that gives actionable steps to take to ensure you are going in the right direction. And right when you thought you were ready, Neal Frankle gives us 6 mistakes he made when he opened his business. Learn from them!
