There are a lot of questions which come in mind like is it worth spending so much on dental plan? Is this cheap dental plan really worth anything? Will I get all the benefits in this plan? Nevertheless, which ever answers you give to these questions you will still need to be on some dental plan.

Are you having luck? Did you find similar results as what I have outlined here? For the most part you shouldn’t be paying more than $50/mo, on average, for a one person household. Thanks!

@ Kenneth –
You ask the dentist and they tell you what pays them the most. And if you ask a salesman, will you not get the same advice? Whatever pays them the most commission! Pretty jaded way to look at it, if you ask me.

With that being said, I would rather have the suggestion of someone who deals with dental problems than a guy looking for a fat commission check.

Mind you, I was referring more to asking your “local” dentist. I was insinuating a dentist you trust, perhaps I should have made that more clear. And you should never go off of the advice of one person, which is why I included: “He may be biased, though, so get some more opinions from other people.”

The idea that you should ask your dentist and what type of dental coverage you should have is a joke. The odds are they will recommend the type of coverage that pays them the most. I don’t blame them, mind you, but you really need the opinion of an expert who sells all types of dental coverage and ask them as they are more likely to recommend a plan that fits your individual needs and then your dentist.

As I said on the last post, your in depth look into this is well timed for us. We called 3 or 4 places yesterday comparing different plans on what was and wasn’t covered by our insurance.

I absolutely abhor this process, but it’s all made a little easier by these great posts! Keep up the great work!
