Welcome to the 4th installation of the Friday webcomics.
I thought the adaptation of one of the most classic folk tales into a comic was great. If this actually happened I could just imagine the hilarity that would ensue…
The feminist says: Disney’s constant portrayal of women as objects who cater to societies expectations of a certain degrading image is appalling! Would you wear GLASS shoes?
The litigator says: What did Disney expect? The fact that he sold glass slippers to an active younger lady stinks of corporate greed. He did not care about the consequences, just the potential profit. Is it reasonable for someone to expect that their shoes may break and injure them at any given moment? Is the sole purpose of shoes to not stand and walk on them? He should have to pay for damages and trauma!
The corporate spokesperson says: There was a clear indicator that these slippers were glass and should be worn lightly. The fact that Cinderella has had a terrible accident is on the top of our minds and we wish her the best. We take our product quality seriously and are working our hardest to improve their performance everyday. If Cinderella would like a new pair of slippers we will of course issue her a new pair via overnight delivery, as part of our industry standard setting warranty.
Any one have another quotable that would ensue from a mishap of this proportion? Think about it… I know I took three easy ones :)
